They were then installed in the Louis XV wing of the Château de Fontainebleau and offered young musicians the best of French musical education with prestigious teachers (Ravel, Saint-Saëns, Dutilleux, Stravinsky, etc.).
In 1923 a school of fine arts was added to the music school with teaching in painting, architecture and sculpture promoting exchanges between artistic disciplines.
From 1949, Nadia Boulanger's imprint deeply marked the organization of teaching: she developed original learning methods and remained one of the pillars of the school until the end of the 1970s.
