Photographer Gérard Rancinan and author Caroline Gaudriault form a French artistic duo that transcends the simple boundaries of their mediums of expression. They explore the profound themes of modern society with poetry and commitment.
Pursuing the same thread of discussion on the position of Man in society, they work from the same reflection on our relationship to Modernity, to cultural heritage, to social contradictions, using all the fantasy, impertinence, humour and discrepancy necessary to allow questioning while avoiding the supposedly peremptory.
They have created a new scenographic form that responds to the thoughts and ideas that are entirely their own. The duo's dialogue takes an original form on the international contemporary art scene.
