If Victor Vasarely (1906-1997) left his kinetic mark on the 1960s and 1970s, it was not just because he created a plastic language that embodied the very idea of modernity, or that he paved the way for the optical art movement - whose legacy is still very much alive today, as the selection of artists in this book testifies.

Above all, it is because he was driven by a vision of the role of art, aware of the responsibility of the artist as well as the architect to promote art in the city, and that he thought of creation in a global way.

Artists paying tribute to Vasarely's legacy : Ghizlane Agzenai, Akatre, Verena Bachl, Vanessa Barragao, Damien Bénéteau, Aleksandar Bezinovic, Lee Broom, Clara Daguin, Caroline Derveaux, Djeff, Paco Rabanne par Julien Dossena, Ememem, Malika Favre, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Katy Ann Gilmore, Adam Hillman, Jo Hummel, Arthur Kenzo, Sebastiaan Knot, Anna Kruhelska, Zach Lieberman, Shigeki Matsuyama, Thandiwe Muriu, Nonotak, Olly Fathers, Felipe Pantone, Reyn, SpY, Esther Stocker, Superflex, Alex Trochut, Valentin van der Meulen, Camille Walala, Richard Yasmine, Zimoun et Daniel Zucco.
