Exhibition Catalogue Hhuma Bhabha.A fly appeared, and disappeared, presented at the MO.CO., Montpellier (18 November 2023 - 28 January 2024).
Huma Bhabha draws her inspiration from ancient sculpture, modernism and contemporary popular iconography. The monumental sculptures she creates by combining surprising materials oscillate between the recognisable, the human or animal, and the extraterrestrial.
Her powerful and sometimes disturbing works explore themes such as colonialism, war, displacement and memories of place.
