Multiple artist, Barthélémy Toguo expresses himself both through performance and through installations, but he virtuously resorts to drawing, sculpture, painting or watercolor depending on the message of the work and the medium that seems to him the most suitable.

Barthélémy Toguo is a international artist, he lives and works today between Paris and Bandjoun in Cameroon and his exhibitions travel the world. His creations are intimately linked to life, he is inspired by experience, travels and encounters.
His work also has a strong political dimension against all forms of inequality. He is particularly interested in the flows, of goods but also of human beings between the West and Africa. We often find in his works the motives of migration, colonialism, race, or exile.
But the personal commitment of Barthélémy Toguo is today mainly around the question of the promotion of art in Africa and more specifically in his native country, Cameroon. In 2008, he inaugurated Bandjoun Station, a place dedicated to art in all its disciplines, where exhibitions, meetings, workshops and artist residencies take place. Emphasis is also placed on school training and economic self-sufficiency.
