This book, born out of the meeting between the poetic, playful world of artist and designer Hubert le Gall and the dreamy architecture of the Villa Kerylos, is a visual journey through an ancient Greece that is more fantasy than reality.

Made specifically on the occasion of this mix between exhibition and installation, thirty works follow Ariadne’s thread as it weaves among the topography of the place and the eternal myths reworked by the artist, with a booklet by art historian Bérénice Geoffroy-Schneiter.
Located on the rocky tip of the Baie des Fourmis in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Villa Kérylos is an original reconstruction of an ancient Greek dwelling.
Villa Kérylos is the realisation of a dream – that of Théodore Reinach, an archaeologist and French statesman, fascinated by Greek civilisation. It is also the fruit of an exemplary collaboration with architect Emmanuel Pontremoli who was passionate about this project.
