Exhibition catalogue "Robert Combas, Greatest Hits" at the Museum of modern art of Lyon (February 24 - July 15, 2012).
The exhibition Greatest Hits presents more than 600 works, from the 70s to today, accompanied with guitar, bass and drums on a soundtrack taken from the huge record collection of the artist and by live performances brand new.
Curated by Richard Leydier with the cooperation of the artist himself, the selection puts special emphasis on historic works, many of which, being in private collections, are not widely known, while mapping the key moments of Combas’s prolific career, all the way up to the works done during the exhibition itself.
An exhibition "rock on the wide size/wild side" on 3000 square meters and 3 levels, with daily presence during 2 months of Robert Combas, who installs at the macLYON a workshop/studio where he creates, in live, paintings and azimuth videos.
