Catalogue of the monographic exhibition All Over - Philippe Favier, at the Musée de Valence (from 25 September 2020 to 31 August 2021).
This exhibition, conceived by the curator Thierry Raspail, as an "all-over" tour of the entire museum, will not leave the visitor unscathed, as the artist's interventions will reinforce, inflect or slightly shift the perception of the museum's existing works, thus renewing, with humour and distance, our view of the museum's journey.
The catalogue, imagined as a real object with careful manufacture, allows us to retrace Philippe Favier's career, from his first works to the most recent, mostly unpublished, works. Accompanied by a rich and varied iconography, from the works presented to in situ installations, it brings together a group of authors, art historians and curators, authoritative: Amélie Adamo, Bernard Ceysson, Thierry Raspail, Pascale Soleil. Through their contributions, they all shed essential light on the artist's work.
