The two artists enjoyed meeting up for endless nights spent in the bars of Montparnasse, before wandering through the streets of Paris. Important similarities bring their respective plastic and theatrical works closer, at the crossroads of Existentialism, a connection that was finally expressed in 1961 in an exceptional collaboration : Giacometti creating the set for a staging of the Waiting for Godot play in 1961.
