Bilingual Exhibition Catalogue Bonnard, Le Cannet, in the Limelight, presented at the musée Bonnard, Le Cannet (4 july - 1er november 2020).
This catalog has been recomposed from the one published for the 150th anniversary of Bonnard's birth, reformulated with the new works presented. The richly documented texts and notices are signed by Véronique Serrano, chief curator of the Bonnard museum.
The Bonnard Museum has chosen to present its collections from the perspective of the Mediterranean, and of Cannet in particular, where the painter settled in the early 1920s.
Bonnard is overwhelmed by the light of the region, which tests his keen sense of observation and his sensitivity. More than twenty additional loans, from private collections, enrich a deliberately chronological and thematic journey, from Bonnard's first posters to the dazzle of his paintings painted in Le Cannet.
