Jean-Michel Wilmotte's unique adventure began in the mid-1970s and continues to this day with undisputed relevance.
This catalogue raisonné, which includes examples of around 1,500 objects and covers a time span of almost fifty years, documents Wilmotte's lifelong commitment to design and his strong attention to detail in all activities.
Introduced by an extensive historical-critical essay by Anne Bony on Wilmotte's work and a conversation between the author and the designer, the volume traces Wilmotte's entire production through four sections: Balance; Tension-Movement; Rhythm; Detail.
This is followed by an extensive section of historical images and the catalogue raisonné of objects that provides a comprehensive analysis of Wilmotte's work as a designer.
