Exhibition catalogue of pascALEjandro, presented at the gallery Azzedine Alaïa, Paris (April 28th, to July 9th, 2017).
On the occasion of the exhibition, the first monograph of pascALEjandro is published. Readers are to discover a catalogue raisonné of the work to date, with a foreword by Azzedine Alaïa, an epilogue by pascALEjandro, and contributions from Adonis who acted in Poesía Sin Fin, Edgar Morin, Diego Moldes, María-Inés Rodríguez, Philippe Rouyer, Diana Widmaier Picasso and Olivier Zahm. This book edited by Donatien Grau also includes two interviews with pascALEjandro conducted by Klaus Biesenbach and Hans Ulrich Obrist.
Born from the love between Pascale Montandon-Jodorowsky and Alejandro Jodorowsky, their «spiritual child», pascALEjandro, is a painterly endeavor : Alejandro Jodorowsky - filmmaker, poet, author of comic books, the great figure of psychomagic - traces the lines, and lays out the symbols, marking the masculine element; the image is then filled with colors by Pascale Montandon-Jodorowsky - painter, costume and stage designer.
This magical core of creation, which unites the names of the spouses with the three letters they share, represents a conception of love and life, passionate and humane.
